Taiwan – Aware Electronics Inc.’s A-view is a Linux-embedded ultramobile PC (UMPC) that features a 7in true-color TFT-LCD with a 55mmx93mm viewing area, supporting 800x480-pixel resolution (133x133dpi). The mini laptop’s backlit display has a power consumption of 0.2W to 0.5W (backlight off) or 1W to 1.5W (backlight on). The unit runs on 300MHz Aday 5F x86-compatible CPU, and features Aday SC501 graphics controller, and 128MB/256MB dual-channel 166MHz DDR2 667 DRAM, 4,096KB SPI-compatible flash ROM and 1.024GB/2.048GB MLC NAND flash memories. It supports 2.4GHz 802.11b/g wireless networking.

The model comes with an 80-key keyboard with sealed silicon-membrane key-switch assembly, a mouse emulator, internal stereo speakers, external color video camera, and Marvell Libertas 88W8388 controller and 88W8015 radio. Its I/O interfaces include a 3.5mm 3-pin headphone and a 3.5mm 2-pin mono microphone output jacks, 6/2 type A USB 2.0 connector, and a 5.5mm (with 1.65mm center pin) connector, which supports 11V to 18V usable input power.
